Getting There

Getting There

Flying in to Hobart

No official carrier has been nominated for the event due to competitive airfares available via the internet. There are three airlines who fly into Hobart – check out the best fares of the day here: Jetstar|Qantas|Virgin.

Hobart Airport

Hobart Airport is located 17.4 kilometres from the city, which is approx. 17 minutes by car.

Sky Bus

SkyBus departs every 30 minutes daily – 7 days a week, all year round.

Tickets are available online through the SkyBus website. Alternatively, you can purchase tickets at the e-kiosks conveniently located next to our luggage carousels.

The buses stop outside the arrivals hall forecourt (Gate 1), to the right of the yellow bus shelter. After collecting your luggage from the carousels exit the nearest set of doors.

There are 4 stops located in the heart of Hobart.

  1. 1 Davey Street (Drop off only) Bus stop opposite Hotel Grand Chancellor
  2. Brooke Street Pier (Pick up & drop off) Bus stop on Franklin Wharf
  3. Franklin Square (Pick up only) Metro Bus stop on Elizabeth Street
  4. 19 Macquarie Street (Pick up only) Bus stop at rear of Hotel Grand Chancellor

SkyBus also have a “Turn up and go” service which means bookings aren’t necessary. Tickets can be purchased from drivers at any of the pickup stops.

Please see SkyBus for all current fares.

And payment is completely cashless. No phone calls to make, no pick-ups to schedule. With 24/7 availability, request a ride any time of day, any day of the year. Rate your driver and provide anonymous feedback about your trip.
